What we collect and who sees it
Last updated 4 September 2026
The short version
We collect what you type into the request form and the shape you draw on the map. We send it to the APAI member contractors you chose and to APAI staff. We do not sell it, we do not share it with anyone else, and there is no account to create.
What we collect
- Your name, and your phone number or email address, whichever you give us.
- Your business or organization name, if you enter one.
- The outline you draw and the square footage worked out from it.
- The county the drawn area falls in.
- Anything you write in the notes field.
- The address you typed, kept only as a label so a contractor knows where to go.
What we do not collect
- No account, no password, no login.
- No payment details. This service is free and nothing is ever charged.
- No advertising or analytics trackers, and no third party cookies.
- No location history. If you use the "use my current location" button, that position is used to centre the map in your browser and is not stored.
Who receives it
The member contractors shown on screen before you press send, and APAI staff. Nobody else. The contractors are independent businesses, and once they have your request they handle your information under their own practices.
How long we keep it
Requests are kept so APAI can answer questions like how many requests a member received in a year, and what a typical project size is in a given county. If you want your request deleted, contact APAI staff with the reference number from your confirmation screen and we will remove it.

A note on the map
The aerial map is provided by Google Maps and is subject to Google's privacy policy. We do not store the coordinates their service returns for an address. The only location we keep is the outline you drew yourself.
